The Wrestling One Scholarship Program awards three $1000.00 scholarships and $2000.00 to athletes unable to afford a summer wrestling camp experience. The $1000.00 scholarships will be awarded to three individuals and paid to an accredited degree or certificate granting instituition of higher learning of which, they have been accepted to further their education. These scholarships are awarded based on character, personal merit and commitment. The Wrestling One Scholarship Program reinforces our commitment to
education and is designed to assist in the continuation of education beyond high
school.
The students must be between the ages of 8-18 who excel both in wrestling, their studies, make a difference in their community, act as a leader among their peers and inspire others. Apply now for your future education!
You must have at least a 3.0 GPA for your senior year and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for previous years (9th, 10th, 11th).
Be a U.S. Citizen; U.S. National; U.S. Permanent Resident.
Able to document a minimum of 50 hours of community service in within the past 12
months prior to nomination.
Applicants must enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study no later than the
- Be Wrestling One employees, children or resident family members or employees, children
or resident family members of any Wrestling One affiliates.
Judging is based on outstanding achievements in many areas of the student's life. While a
cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale shows that you are serious about continuing
their education, you must demonstrate accomplishments in these additional areas:
- Leadership in school, civic and extracurricular activities
- Meaningful contributions to your school and/or community
- Have diverse and outstanding accomplishments
- Are multi-talented, and all around achievers who display initiative, and
determination.
- The applicant will be notified after May 15, 2006
- The applicant must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study no later
than the fall term of 2006-2012 school year at an US post-secondary institution.
- The applicant will be mailed a check in mid August, 2006 payable to both the applicant
and the institution they will attend.
Complete application, official transcript and
reference letters must be assembled within the same envelope, postmarked on or before
May 15, 2006 and submitted to:
